Episode 3-6: "I Do"

There was not too much to talk about with this Kate-centric episode. I felt that we didn’t really learn much more about Kate than we didn’t know before. There a few things to think to about from that episode. I also added some general LOST stuff out there on the web. And as always, I finish off with spoilers for both the next episode and the remainder of Season 3.

  • Kevin, Kate's finance's name, is the same name as Sarah's finance (Jack's ex) who ran off when she got paralyzed.
  • Is Karl dead, the kid who tried to help Sawyer escape from the cages at the beginning of Season 3? Is he an Other? if so, do the Others then kill their own?
  • When Pickett and the other Other left the viewing room, Pickett was bitching about how Ben was letting Jack operate on him. Who is Jacob? Did Henry step out of protocol to save his own butt when he saw that Jack was a doctor? If Jack was not on the list, how did Juliet have all that paperwork on him? Is Jack then dispensable? Is this who Ben mentioned and was so scared of when he was taken by the Losties?
  • Is Ben Alex's dad? Probably not birth dad since Rousseou "gave" Ben to Sayid but didn't seem to know him, just knew he was an Other. Maybe he adopted Alex once the Others took her from Rousseou.
  • We still don't know what happened to Kate when she was brought to Ben when they first got captured and brought to this new island. Maybe Kate got REALLY roughed up or something, because she seems to be acting weird, not as aggressive and in control as she used to be. Maybe something similar to the pacemaker trick they did to Sawyer.

SPOILERS:

  • Michael and Walt story will probably not return this season, but Michael's story is not yet finished.
  • We will get more detail on what happened to Locke, Desmond and Eko directly after the hatch implosion/explosion.
  • We will find out how Jack got his tattoos in the 3rd episode after break (hopefully really happens because I'm tired of writing this).
  • They will begin diving deeper into who the others are, their origins and how long they've been on the island.
  • Why the plane crashed will be addressed this season, as well as the button and it was for real.
  • There is a chance Eko may be an a flashback. Not sure in what capacity.
  • The Island is not necessarily where the Others live or where we saw them in the season opener.
  • In the 2nd episode when we return (Feb 14th), we'll find out a little more about the kids from the Tailies section of the plan and their abduction
  • There may be a connection between the kids' abduction and Juliet being a fertility doctor.
  • The guy with the eye patch that Locke saw on the monitor in the pearl hatch will figure predominately in the remainder of the season. (perhaps he is Jacob?)
  • In the Season 2 finale, we saw what we were led to believe was a connection off the island. A lot of the remainder of season has this as a big topic, actually dominates the remainder, after taking a few episodes after the break to get there.
  • Two bombs will be dropped this season.

  • Character bomb and will happen almost immediately.
Story bomb will happen right after character bomb.

    • First episode back called "Not in Portland" and is a Juliet-centric episode.
    • Desmond will have a prophecy about another Lostie that will have a a serious affect on the Losties.
    • We will finally find out how Locke got in his wheelchair.
